With NY Fashion Week approaching it felt appropriate to start dreaming up gifts inspired by and that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to give to my Louboutin wearing Birkin toting friends (both of them). Sumptuous Scarves: I truly did not know where to start. From printed skulls to Hermes to infinity and ombre-ish…I LIVE for scarves once fall rolls around and don’t take them off until the sweltering summer heat makes it prohibitive. Some favorite scarf-gift memories if you’ll indulge me: I remember one trip to St. Martin, I brought back for my mom a fabulous purply Pucci scarf from Marigot that I still covet, and when I graduated from middle school, my dad gave me a fantastic feather themed Hermes silk scarf I still have today. That treasure has been worn as a belt, head wrap, neck tie and (in my younger years) make-shift halter–it came with this fabulous booklet on ways to re-imagine that lovely square piece of silk that I wish I still had.
